BIBLE This unique developmental Bible series provides an in-depth academic study of the teachings of both the Old and New Testaments. The Bible curriculum is considered one of the academic basics. Teaching basic, biblical truths fundamental to Christianity, seven major themes are covered in most levels:
Christian Growth - Theology Themes - Attributes of God - Christian Evidences - Biblical Literature - Biblical Geography - Special Emphasis
Reading integration is also part of the learning sequence in the Bible LIFEPACs, for Levels 100 through 600.
LANGUAGE ARTS This series emphasizes the improvement of communication skills. All language arts skills are fully integrated into a single learning sequence. This unique learning approach combines the integrated study of these language arts skills: reading comprehension, grammar, handwriting, composition, spelling, literature, speaking, and listening. The integrated learning approach combines patterned drill and direct analysis of grammar with immediate application in composition exercises. The integration of grammar and composition develops individuals who have gained both cognitive clarity of language components and skill in expressing themselves in writing. Three levels of reading comprehension are addressed: Literal - Analytical - Critical.
MATHEMATICS Practice and application characterize the Mathematics LIFEPAC series, emphasizing mastery of basic mathematical concepts and skills as well as advanced concepts of mathematics.
Levels 100 - 600 develop concepts in counting, number relationships, number facts, place value, and computational skills. For Levels 700 and 800, nine instructional strands are emphasized in the study of basic mathematical skills. These nine strands included: numbers, operations, structures, geometry, applications, careers, recreation, use of calculators, and the metric system. Having mastered basic concepts and skills, the student proceeds toward mathematics in Levels 900 - 1200.
SCIENCE Beginning with God's creation, the Science series leads the student developmentally to a more in-depth knowledge about himself and the multiple facets of his environment. In Levels 100 - 800, the series teaches basic knowledge about man and his physical environment and emphasizes a "stewardship" responsibility toward God's creation. Health studies covering proper nutrition, hygiene, and disease form part of the content of these levels. Levels 900 - 1200 teach physical science, biology, chemistry, and physics. Independent and interesting investigations and experiments allow students to experience first-hand God's creation, learning wise stewardship of His resources. The integration of reading instruction is also incorporated in the LIFEPACs through the first six levels.
SOCIAL STUDIES This curriculum begins with a study of the individual's family and neighborhood relationships and concludes with a study of the challenges of democracy and special challenges facing the Christian in today's humanistic society. The study of history and society both afford an arena in which the Christian influence can be examined. The LIFEPACs take full advantage of opportunities to integrate the application of spiritual principles in a meaningful way while reviewing the course of man's actions. World history is presented from God's viewpoint. Reading integration is also a part of this series in the first six levels.
