The church is without a pastor, and has been for six years or more. The missionary sent out by the Association has preached for us occasionally. Elder L.E. Henderson, the present Missionary, held a series of meetings at Lake City, in the Spring, baptized two and received five into the church. Elder H.M. Henderson has visited us once a month, with but few exceptions, during the year, preaching at different places in the valley. The church has borne with its wayward ones, hoping they would ere long return to the fold, and has requested its Clerk to write to its absent ones. Some six of our members have moved from the valley, leaving their names on the church roll.
Statistics - Dismissed, none; died, none; excluded, none; dropped none; received five; present number, twenty-two. We send as delegates, Deacon T.H. Garrett, Sister Garrett and Bro. H.A.D. Ward. Send for minutes, $5. Done for in behalf of the church at a regular meeting held at Lake City, May 13, 1883.

Sendeth Christian greeting. The time has once more arrived when we have the privilege of meeting you in the Association with letter and delegates. Our pastor has at times been assisted by Elders H.M. and L.E. Henderson; and, dear brethren, we are trying to hold the fort for the Master, and in his name. We send to sit with you in council our pastor, Elder J. D. Bonner, Elder H.M. Henderson, Elder L.E. Henderson and Bro. R. R. Tandy.

To the Elders and Delegates of the Eastern Association, Greeting: We are glad to meet you again by letter and delegates. The past year has not been one of visible prosperity. We have been trying in our weakness to sow the good seed, and hope and pray that our work has not all been in vain. It may be that it will prove as bread cast upon the waters which will be gathered many days hence. Brother L.E. Henderson is our efficient and beloved pastor. Our meeting day is the 3d Sabbath in each month, and the Saturday before. We send as delegates brethren A.P. Vernon, J.W. Mikel, Frank Duke, and Western Prough; as alternates, Sister S. Mikel, Grace Vernon, Prough and Hartzog.
Statistics are as follows: Received by letter, one; dismissed by letter, two; present number, 29. We send for printing, $4. We ask for the Association next year.

To the Eastern Association, Greeting:
We, a few of the disciples of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, banded together by church relation, and worshipping near Buntingville, Lassen county, California, by name, Honey Lake Baptist Church, have been organized a little over a year. Elder P. J. Spoon is our pastor. Our articles of faith are those written by J. Newton Brown. We organized with nine members, have since received five- two by baptism and three by recommendation. We have dismissed two by letter, leaving our present number thirteen. We have sustained a Sabbath school ever since the church was organized until recently, when, on account of several leaving and others sick, it was thought best to suspend it for a time. We are situated in the midst of great spiritual destitution, surrounded by Sabbath desecration, infidelity, etc., etc. We meet in church capacity the second Sabbath in each month. We hereby, and through our delegates ask admission to your body. We send as delegates our Pastor, P.J. Spoon and Bro. J. T. Baldwin, whom we ask you to accept. We send for minutes $2. We have contributed to the home mission work in California, $25. The church desire the Association to meet with them next year.
J. Baldwin, Clerk pro tem.
